8mm & 16mm Film
We have the capabilities to handle Regular 8, Super 8 Film (with or without sound) & 16mm film. We can transfer your footage to DVD Video or if you have your own editing equipment let us transfer your film to a digital format that works with your system
Media Transfers
We can transfer many older forms of media to DVD, to ensure quality preservation. We complete all work directly in the store, nothing is mailed out! We capture all media digitally, running it through our state of the art computer systems and doing basic color correction. Storyteller Productions provides the finest in DVD creation on archival quality DVDs. All our DVDs are left "unlocked" so that the customer is able to copy or edit files themselves with the proper equipment and knowledge. We can also transfer files to an external hard drive (provided by the customer). If you already have a DVD that you need copies of, we can do that as well!

Videography
Videography in HDV We film on a Canon XH-G1 in High-Definition video. Videography rates are $175/hour, with discounted rates starting at 4 hours. Call for a more detailed quote on any project you expect to take more than four hours, from set-up to take-down.
Editing
Is that video you shot need something a little extra? We edit on Mac Pro quad-core systems using Final Cut Pro 6. To make sure you get exactly what you want, you can sit with one of our editors and work one-on-one to get every detail just perfect. Or you can just give them instructions and review the materials when they've finished. Editing rates are $90/hour, and the length of time it takes to edit depends on the clarity and complexity of the product. Editing time is not prorated. Call to discuss your project and how long we expect it would take to get you what you want. Discounted rates can certainly be discussed for larger or charitable projects.
Projection
Would you like to see your movie on the big screen. Let us take care of the details and have us display your priceless moments for your special events.
Need a way to show your finished project at an event? We can do that too! We’ll work with you and your location, bring the projector, player, and screen, and you can sit back and watch with your guests! Rates for projection are $100/hour, from set-up to take-down, and include the projector, screen, DVD player, speakers and an operator.
Photo Montages
Photo Montages on DVD are perfect for special events, gifts, and keepsakes. Bring in your photos and let us put together your masterpiece. Add captions, titles, and even narration to suit your needs! Everything is flexible, and adjustments can be made as you sit with our editors to finalize your project.
- Collect your materials (photos, digital photos, video clips, documents, etc.).
- Put the materials in the order you would like them to appear. (TIP: numbering with post-it notes is less damaging than writing on the photos, and allows you to rearrange more easily)
- Make notes of titles/captions and on or between which photos you would like them to appear. Be sure to include correct spelling of all names, places, etc. Also note if you would like songs to start with a specific photo, or if you would only like to use a portion of a song. Typed notes are appreciated, but neat printing will also help us avoid error in transcription.
- If you would like an image or two on the disc or case cover, pick it out, and make note of titles you would like.
- Bring us the photos, etc. and music (on CD, if you have it, or titles/artists so we can search for your songs), and your notes. We will go over any questions you have at that time, and make sure that we are clear on your vision for your montage. This is also when we need to know of any deadlines you are working with.
- We scan the photos, or capture them from other media, do some very basic photoshoping, put them into a video timeline, and add the music, transitions, and titles.
- When we have finished that (usually about a week), we call you to come in and view the project to ensure that your notes were followed, check spelling, and “proof” the project.
- If after viewing, you would like to make additional changes, it is possible, but will be done at the editing rate.
- When everything gets your seal of approval, we make your disc, and any copies you want. - Most importantly
- HAVE FUN! These DVDs are treasures that people will enjoy for years.
